The next best thing to being there…

Turkeys in a field

Keep an eye on your livestock

We all want to know our homes and businesses are secure and one of the best investments you can make is an electronic security system – for most premises a standard intruder alarm is ideal.

However, it has always been harder to secure valuable property which is kept outside – for example diesel tanks stored in a yard or livestock in a field (the BBC reported on one farmer in Devon who’s had more than 1000 turkeys stolen and has been faced with a bill of £18,000 after being targeted more than 20 times). Clearly this type of property cannot be protectd by lock and key or intruder alarms.

The good news is there is now a highly effective way of protecting property in exterior areas – event driven remote monitored CCTV. This type of system is triggered by an event – i.e. an intruder entering the area covered by the cameras and detectors. Once triggered it sends an alert to the remote monitoring centre where operatives can see the live feed from the camera. If an intruder is seen the operative can issue a verbal warning – in many cases this is enough to deter the intruder and prevent the theft – the police can also be called.

Remote monitored CCTV really is the next best thing to being there and offers a high level of protection giving you peace of mind that your property is safe. If you would like to know more please get in touch – use the form on the right of this page or call us on 01663 719520.
